      <image:title>About - Started by two friends</image:title>
<image:caption>Matt Boyes-Watson and Nina Berg grew up blocks away from each other in Central Square, Cambridge. They went to the same elementary school and high school, the legendary Cambridge Rindge and Latin. After college, during late night soccer games, they started thinking about ways to participate in the evolution of their beloved city, always learning by doing. Community charrettes turned into campaigns for local office turned into their first demonstration projects. Ten years later, that dream-and-scheme energy has yet to wane. Flagg was founded in August 2019.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Projects - STREET LEGAL</image:title>
<image:caption>Street Legal is a policy provocation currently in its research phase. We unwound the red tape preventing food entrepreneurs from selling on the street and then designed a pilot pushcart program in tandem with our first chef partners.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Projects - YOUTH HEADSPACE: MENTAL HEALTH CAMPAIGN</image:title>
<image:caption>We collaborated with our alma mater, Cambridge Rindge and Latin's Cambridge Youth Council to develop a design curriculum for young leaders, enumerating the elements of a successful campaign, from ideation and messaging to color theory and typography. Then, we worked with them to create and launch their own mental health campaign and resource, Youth Headspace.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Projects - A DINING BLOCK FOR THE CULTURAL DISTRICT</image:title>
<image:caption>As the world turned itself inside out to create safe, outdoor spaces during the COVID-19 pandemic, we used the moment as an opportunity to reimagine Mass Ave, working with the Central Square BID to design a process for reclaiming roadway for restaurants and public seating. This initiative bolstered the identity of the district as a dining destination by adding 500 new seats and advocating for their permanence. (Photo: Kyle Klein)</image:caption>

      <image:title>Projects - POPPORTUNITY</image:title>
<image:caption>Popportunity is a placekeeping and economic development initiative. Piloted in Central Square's Cultural District, Popportunity converts vacant space into temporary streetscapes, prototyping the missing link between pop-up market and leased brick-and-mortar. In just three years, Popportunity has graduated five program participants into their own brick-and-mortar stores and is now its own 501c3 non-profit.</image:caption>
